Oanh-Nhi Nguyen is a filmmaker and activist with a decade of experience in gender and racial justice. Her films center Asian women and girls, exploring themes of diaspora, immigrant experiences, and intergenerational relationships.

A graduate of the prestigious AFI Conservatory's MFA Directing program, she has directed five short films, with her latest work "LITTLE BIRD" showcasing at the AFI Conservatory Showcase during AFI Fest and accepted into Cinequest Film Festival for 2025. In just two years, Oanh-Nhi has garnered numerous accolades, including her participation in Tribeca's 2024 Creators Market, where she pitched her projects to industry professionals and her comedy pilot "UNACCEPTABLE" was accepted into the 2022 Athena's Writers Lab. Her directorial docuseries debut, TAKING ROOT was officially selected for the 2023 Tribeca Festival.

Now, as one of ten filmmakers chosen for Hillman Grad and Indeed's Rising Voices program, Oanh-Nhi is directing and co-writing "THE STAND," a short film set to premiere at Tribeca in June 2025.
